PRESENTATION
 Macaroni cheese
Macaroni cheese is macaroni covered with a cream of cheese and baked au gratin, very tasty and with a strong flavor, typical of the USA where they are also called mac and cheese.
We present a version of this hearty dish: we seasoned the macaroni with a cream made with emmentaler and fontina cheese and then sprinkled with plenty of Parmesan, which creates a crunchy crust in the oven.
The combinations of cheeses that you can create, following your personal tastes, are many and different: experiment!
A recipe, called macaroni and cheese, is found in the cookbook "The Virgina Housewife" of 1824, including macaroni, butter and cheese as ingredients. Over time, the pancetta and the onion have entered into different variations of the same recipe. It is to be considered a traditional recipe of the United States of America, where it is still appreciated and consumed on a large scale.
Macaroni cheese is a dish with a strong and very inviting taste that appeals to cheese lovers but also to children.
